Project Overview: Interior Design for 399-Bed Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) New Build

Interior design concept and specification for a large-scale 399-bed PBSA development, incorporating a diverse range of communal amenity spaces. Our package covered the full design service, from RIBA Stage 3 through to Stage 5, delivering detailed technical drawings and CGI's ensuring the design vision was cohesively executed with functional precision.

The design encompassed a variety of spaces, including study rooms, a launderette, cinema room, cluster bedrooms, studios, and living areas. Our team developed vibrant and unique amenity pockets distributed across different levels of the building, focusing on creating colourful, student-centric spaces that foster engagement and a sense of community.

Working closely with our client, we developed the brief further to create a design where innovation was central to the process, with a thoughtful use of space, colour, finishes, curated furniture, and bespoke design feature lighting. Our goal was to enhance both functionality and the student experience, creating spaces that promote wellbeing, reflect a dynamic student lifestyle, and encourage a strong sense of community.
