Project Overview: Interior Design for Homie Student Accommodation

Nelson and Long were appointed by Homie to deliver the concept design, detailed specification, and product coordination for a summer refurbishment programme across multiple student accommodation sites in Leeds and Durham. The project included HMO and studio properties, covering bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and communal spaces.

Our scope included layout consultancy, as well as the careful costing and sourcing of furniture, finishes, and accessories. Working collaboratively with architects, contractors, and suppliers, we ensured all elements aligned with the design concept to create functional, durable, and inspiring homes for students.

The design approach balances style and practicality, using thoughtful material choices, colour, and texture to enhance the atmosphere of each property. Bedrooms, studios, kitchens, lounges, and communal areas were designed to support both social interaction and personal comfort, reflecting Homie’s focus on modern, high-quality, sustainable student homes.
